"Each piece is thrown or hand built with
porcelaneous stoneware. At the appropriate
stage, the clay is sculpted, scored, stretched,
angled, flattened, fractured, bisque-fired,
glazed then fired to nearly 2400 degrees. I
prefer using glazes that do not compete with the
form, but allow the pot to assert its own life
and liveliness. I therefore chose to work with
only a few colors finding myself very inspired
as well as challenged working within these
confines."
