"I create each fused glass piece as a one
of a kind functional work of art. At least 3
layers of carefully cut 6 mm and 3 mm glass are
fused at 1480 degrees F to fashion a unique
seamless sheet of glass. This fused piece is
then slumped over a predetermined mold at a
temperature of 1250 degrees F to create a
vessel. Total firing time for the two processes
is over 24 hours." |
